Need some advice

I have a 1983 strathead that has all period correct pieces.
This is what I have found out so far.The neck and the body fit perfect usually on pieced together mutts they do not.
It has a missing plate and changes tuners.
I was thinking of adding a black ofr-so this is what I ask
What would you guys do???

Hi Tony,imo there are only so many San Dimas Charvels out there & I would never irreversably mod one bro,once it's done it can never be put back!!If I had to have the Floyd I'd buy another guitar with an OFR or I'd sell this to some one who would like the V-trem & use the $$ to buy another axe with an OFR!!

I wouldn't do it. I'd get another guitar that already has a Floyd. I'd go for a Charvel Model 2, which can likely be had for less than the cost of a floyd and an install.

It was something that crossed my mind.
When I got the guitar there was a big discussion about it
if it was legit or not.
well someone chimed in and said it was all early san dimas parts who knows???
Thanks it sounds and plays great and adding the floyd was just a thought.

It has all the correct markings on the body and the neck
parts are correct also-it was just a thought-

Very cool guitar. If you want a Charvel floyded consider a trade, buy another, but leave it intact.

Now as far as trades I have a few interesting floyded Charvies...
