Wow a RedBlackWhite, my understanding is that those weren't supposed to be out for another month, that the paint wasn't right on them. Very Nice though, enjoy.

Interesting that they aren't using the standard Charvel serial #s. I'm guessing it's "year" for the first two digits and "number" for the last two. i.e., 0422 = #22 from 2004, etc.

Did you pull the PU yet to see who made it? [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Both of those are awesome looking! Congrats guys, it was great dealing with both of you...

On the custom shop note, I asked Mike Kotzen what the current turnaround time was on CS guitars last week and his response was that they're taking about 10 months to complete right now. I just got in 3 CS guitars and hopefully their new owners will post pics when they get them because all 3 are VERY unique!!

There's nothing wrong with being annoyed with the situation. I'm kinda hoping that the problem may have stemmed from some stipulation Ed had in his agreement with FMIC. Perhaps there was a stated milestone they they had to hit to get to contracts signed. Maybe if they had pushed the EVH series to 2005 they would have never happened as the VH tour was over or something.

FMIC seems to be trying it hardest to get this brand back into profitability. Some good marketing, lots of exposure, minor price increase. Now they have to get the CS back on track and that will probably be a Q1 2005 initiative.

they tried duncan and dimarzio, but fender's got a killer pickup r&d department, so they went that route, and everyone's happy.

You ain't kidding. My '72 reissue Tele has an amazing humbucker in it and the custom shop Strat pickups sound great.
