next month i will buy a charvel usa but i know only the serial number of this guitars

can you help me to identify it?
price,model,equipement etc
its a good guitars?

i also know that the neck is a bird eyes
hardware are totally black
the floyd is an original floyd rose

It's a 1995 San Dimas series,sounds like an SD-III from your description,great guitars,very nice necks but some people don't like the headstock shape!!

Sounds like a san dimas 3, these were usa made in 95/96 .. excellent guitar ..

Are you guys sure?? The 6 digit serial number bothers me, shouldn´t it start with "00" for a USA Bolt-on axe of that era?? [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

I´ve only ever seen "full" 6 digit numbers on imports....

Most of the mid-90s Charvel Reissues had etched plates with 6 digits. The first two digits of the serial # were the year of manufacture. Some had Jackson USA plates, too, though.

Your 1/2 right Pat .. While those plates were designed around the year of manufacture there were plates left over and were used with those serials as late as a yr and a half ago with 96XXXX

for tje 95 96 serial numbers could we deduct that
9502xxx = year 95 sandimas2
9503xxx = year 95 sandimas 3
9504xxx = year 95 sandimas 4 etc ?

I had a 1995 SDII serial #950287 & a SD Traditional(strat type)serial #951345!!

I had two SD Traditionals, both 95xxxx serial #s. Assumed they were both 1995s, but maybe not after all.
