I just got this one.

1981 neck from a Star married to a 1984 pointy body. The neck pocket was made smaller to accomodate the neck heel and then refinished in black. All work was done by GMW.

I have since put the original brass hardware on. Looks great. I will probably put a cream & black Duncan 59 with a creme ring in there at some point.

This guitar is a great player. Never had a 21 fret Charvel neck before....very nice. Great shape for a 24 year old neck. The original guitar was busted and the neck laid in the back of a music store since 1982.

I will post it again with more pics after I change the pic up.

Brian...The logo was already on there when I got it...May have been redone when Lee had the project back then.

Looks great! I think you should put the creme &amp; black 59 in there instead of the EMG. Just my 2 cents since I prefer Duncans over EMGs.

Yeah....It will be getting a creme or zebra Duncan when i get one.
I am want to spend this year fine tuning my guitars by addressing issues like this.

I do like the all black but understand the want for zebra or creme. I have one very similar with a real Gibson PAF and have grown to love the all black and the sound
