Looks good to these eyes - I'd prefer black hardware on that guitar though, but I don't really go for chrome anyway...Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

One of the best since the return of Charvel.
I want to see more of these.

I agree DJM but it is a custom shop and you have to pay out the a** for those nice but not "custom" features in my book.
How about a Charvel 'select' series, matching headstocks , one hum etc......

I like those but IMHO are over priced on the high side.
I pinged Jason for a price of the 2004 NAMM guitar thats been there for a year...wonder why...hmm. Although his price was well below the list on it, still too high. I'd rather buy up all the used GMW's than pay that kind of coin for a new Charvel that has been sitting and not selling for a year.shawnlutz.com

True, the price is on the high side but it is a custom order and a NAMM guitar. If you wnate dtaht exact guitr it be a great price versus custom ordering it through a dealer. Jason gave me a great deal on my HRF (and the other Shawn on his white Telly) - one of the BEST dealers I ever have dealt with.
With respect to GMW...true used GMW's bring what $1100ish but that is a GMW not a new NAMM Charvel...it comes down to what you prefer, want and bottom line - afford.
To address why the guitar has not sold despite being there for over a year. Several reasons come to mind, I think a lot of folks were waiting to see if:
1. are the 3D neck plates coming (yes they are here now)
2. wondering if a Strat head Floyd run will be released/appear (no mention at winter NAMM)
3. know that they can still buy an original Charvel (pointy) for the same or lower price, so its a toss up
4. market is soft for everything these days. Bad time to sell, great time to buy!!
I never played any of the new Charvel Strat heads but the pointies (like my BI Reissue and HRF) are very, very close in feel (neck shape) to an original. I love them and I am close to plaicng a custom order.
