I bet the people that ordered Charvels and requested they not be shipped until the 3D plates were done won't want to hear this!

                    Re: Charvel 3-D Neck Plates

to me its makes no difference. I dont believe in the Mike Shannon magic. I have played some "shannon" guitars and they are really great. He is top notch. So are a lot of other people and builders. I want people to come here and post both types the "shannon builts" and "tean builts" to see about quality etc.

I got a ton of USA jacksons and SD harvels, a few model series etc.. My best player is with out a doubt hands down my model 4.

Lets not get all wrapped around the axle some times my head wants to explode...

                      [ QUOTE ]
If we make a legitimate screw up, we're more than willing to take the blame. Some of us have tried to correct previous misconceptions, only to be told we were wrong and didn't know what we were talking about by a member who was spouting complete BS.

I can assure you that whatever info I post on here about Jackson or Charvel is 100% accurate. Kev and Sully can also back me on that. I can't post or monitor on here regularly, but if something comes up, I'll do my best to clarify issues, questions of problems.

Just so you know, EVERYONE here at Jackson/Charvel want our products to be "correct" and capture the vibe/essence of the original models. We're doing the best we can and getting better every day!!

                      [/ QUOTE ]

Very cool and much appriciated. We will look forward to your input.

                        Re: Charvel 3-D Neck Plates

I have another question about this. According to a dealer I spoke with about as CS Charvel with engraved plate he has available. He said that Jackson informed him that it was built by Mike Shannon and his team. So is that what you mean when you state that it was built by Mike Shannon? Thinking about it, It doesn't seem possible for him to build 100 Guitars plus in a year or less by himself. Sorry for my ignorance I'm trying to make sure I know what you mean by "handbuilt by Mike Shannon".

                          Re: Charvel 3-D Neck Plates

Don't hold me to thins but I'd imagine Mike is responsible for all the woodworking aspects of the build and all the secondary stuff is probably done by others within his team (him overseeing production) Basically I'm sure Mike doesn't sit at a bench and wire guitars ..
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

That would be correct Kevin, He built less than 100, Not sure of a number.. Like Kevin said a great deal at $1999.

                            Cheers
