If YOU scroll down far enough to the ESP section, you can see jake with my esp that he used to own.The site even credits me on it!Kick a$$ !
As far as how sad it is to have all these great players playing these instead of C/J'S , you just have to play one that was made for an endorsee. They dont compare to the production models.
Ive played jakes, obviously , but ive also played 4-5 of george lynch's including his #1 kamikazee, the orange quilt from the instucional vid, the seven string he had made with the mechanical pickup(push a button and the pickup slides from bridge to neck, all you can hear tho is the sound of the motor while switching, lol) and some of queensryche's.I can tell you that the quality is just as good as any jackson ive ever played. And some charvels.Guys dont play crappy guitars for a s long as the old charvel-now esp players.San dimas shut down and these guys went to the next thing that played great and was willing to pay them to boot.
Anyhow,im just glad to own one.Its still my #1, even when i had a dozen killer axes laying around the house.Ive got my camo and my jake.Thats all i'll need til my dying day, i am sure of that.
Thanx Tracy,I saw that awhile ago, cool write-up,surprised they missed his white Charvel strathead with the black pickguard,1 hum(no,I don't mean his re-done Fender!!)he used on the Bark at the Moon tour, always loved that guitar!!Cool credit Gomez!!
The blue burst is now owned by a japanese artist Ann Lewis, whom jake played as a session player on 3-4 of her cds.The others were sold off in the mid 90's.Jason at drumcity had a chance at the white "holdsworth", but passed on it because he thougt a grand was too much for it.i begged him to get it but it was too late.

wow, we come along way since then in prices. My Holds that I got via help form Tim Rose, the store could not give it away and they even unsuccessfully tried to trade it off at a few guitar shows.
They eventually took $500 for it...and like Tommy I paid out the ass for it after that...but back then there was very little interest in them....

Anyone know where the purpleburst Charvel went to?
The purple was sold off with the rest of them.He sold his strathead jacksons, some of his esp's(azsk toru about them, our friend keisuke ended up with some of them) and his charvies, kept the fender and some of the esp's.Mine was traded back in at sunset custom, which was esp's headquaters back then.
