• stolen charvel, strathead maple, on red single hum

hi guys...this was stolen by my ex-wife, who then sold it to a dealer along with one other guitar she stole, which has since been recovered. however, this one got sold, and dissapeared. i would like to recover it if at all possible, as it belongs to a good friend.

i believe the serial number (standard brass san dimas plate) is 3302...i could be wrong.

it's a GREAT maple neck, 1 5/8 nut width, tremendous feeling.

i always felt the body was unoriginal, possibly chandler or paul c's or something. contours aren't as round and smooth as charvel.

single hum, and black OFR. one volume knob.

this is a shot of the guitar back when i owned it, this was a photo shoot for a d'addario endorsement (back when don dawson was still there....once he left, all us "almost nobodies" got dropped)

please PM or email me if you know of this guitar. i am not involving police, just want to get it back to the owner for a reasonable price.

Damn that sucks,
My ex (I think so) up in the attic fars side under a lot of insulation...I was out of town for a week and came home and my prs custom 24 was gone-save for months had it a week-my 1971 butterscotch fender tele with factory bigsby and my 1972 gibson j-45...Thats it nothing else was touched...
I will keep my eyes open-good luck in the search

wish i had a better pic, but it's an easy to spot guitar. please PM me or email me if you know the whereabouts of this guitar. most likely it is still in the tampa bay area.

by the way....my dealer friend that sold this is Stevie B's Guitars over in Clearwater Florida...that's where the stolen guitar was resold to someone else. Stevie is a good friend, and managed to get the other guitar in question back to it's rightful owner....but i want that other red one back, even if it's a dog.

though this has never personally happened to me,
I do know many local players who's women went "walk about" with their gear as they moved on to the next joe...
I hope you get your stuff back, losing even the smallest of things sucks.
prosecute her to the full extent if you can.

back in the day I always made it clear to girls d'jour,
or band/roomates girls,
that if you take my gear , I take a couple fingers with me, when I find you...

even as nuts as my ex was, she never resorted to messing with my guitars...
thankfully she didnt, because I would be residing in the state pen.

i remember during a minor squabble(more like world war6)i left in a huff and could only grab about 7 axes and bolted. when we made up, i came back home and she had my serial number one of seven harpoon head sandoval polka dot flying
V. she knew that one, along with a few others were worth some bread. women are at the bottom of every great disaster, alot.-lol

i knew stevie back when he was still a counter rat at thoroughbred...and at paragon...and now he's got his own stores. luckily, he knew my ex-wife, and knew she was up to no good.

if she wasn't the mother of my only child...she would have been prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

luckily, the other guitar was rescued....i'm still trying to find this one, to help repair a 20 year friendship that she pretty much ruined...

Sorry for your loss. I hope you find her, but I would expect that it will not be an easy sell for the "new" owner. I understand that Brett Dennis (SanDimasCharvel.com) get more offers for an '82 guitar that is pretty much the same (except its got a 1 3/4" nut) than any other guitar in his very impressive site.

Good Luck. I am sure that people here will keep and eye out.

That totally sucks. That looks like a very nice Charvel. I will keep my eyes open also.

OK... here is my question... if you only had time to grab 7 axes, they must have been absolutely killer if one of the ones you left was the Sandoval Polka dot. Holy crap.
