awesome Bobby..I await pics, the matching painted head is cool on that one..original was a TITE 3 single layout, correct.
Damn, go and see if the brown truck is there yet - I hate waiting. It was just here and dropped off a cool new one for me.

yep, that's the one. josie was SO COOL. he wanted my gold sparkle soloist, and literally was just like "pick a guitar". that was a really cool gesture, as he knew i needed a player...


although that guitar is modded (kahler to floyd, and yes it was a TITE3, but now has a back humbucker, and EMG pickups), it seems like it will be a good player.

LOVE the matching gold headstock with black charvel logo...looks nice! this guitar was originally made for someone else, and it went straight from joanne to josie back in the day allegedly.
i will fully document it, photo it, and soank it at rehearsal tonight!

oh yeah, the truck arrived, and you get to see the unveiling!

GREAT guitar....very light, lighter than most SD charvels. serial is 5095...great neck, feels a bit chunkier than most, with a nice wide flat fingerboard profile. classic SD charvel feel.

modded to flyd, with the big ugly kahler route in behind...oh well. and the 3 TITE config has become HSS, with EMG pickups - i can live with those, used to endorse them, still like them!

by the way....anyone got a truss rod cover they'll sell me? this one needs it :-). trade you some SD black strap buttons!

i like this one a lot already....and i won't feel bad if i mod it, as it is a players guitar really. i'm very happy with it so far. got a raised fret around 16th fret (typical), just need to take it to my tech for a little tough love...once this is set up, it will play amazing!

How did they do the nut? Did it originall have a Kahler clamp behind the nut? The Floyd nut looks original.

you're right. i know it was a pro install. they original guitar had kahler, 3 TITE, and was made for someone...who knows? it's an elegant color choice, especially with the matching headstock. i can play this guitar anywhere.
