I was thinking of doing a natural polka dot guitar made out of maple with walnut dowels inlayed into the guitar for the polka dots.

Hey, at least that guitar is never gonna warp. The laminate stuff is really a novelty, sometimes they can look nice though. The cutting board stuff is going a little too far for me. I thought the polka dots wouldn't be too bad if they were only on the front of the guitar and only went 3/8" or so into the top (deeper in the arm contour of course)
