Her Folks,
I posted about this guitar a while back on Charvel Central, but I wanted to share my good fortune w/ the people here as well. This Charvel was actually the 1st I ever owned (USA that is). I got her for a song in the mid-ninties (like ~$200), and she's always played well, in spite of the mods (Vtrem to Floyd, added tone knob, Changed neck). Trouble was, she had been refin'd to death. There were 3 or 4 coats of paint on this thing, and, as a result, she sounded dead when plugged in. I would use her as my bedroom axe, but would never plug her in as a result. I've always wanted to get her stripped and refin'd, but never got around to it. I even thought of parting her out for a huge profit....but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Anyway, I finally got around to getting her done....And I'm very pleased with the results. Paul @ Big Head Guitars did a spectacular job. If you want to see what she used to look like, check this link
Well, here's what she looks like now....!!!!
I really couldn't be happier! She RIPS!!! I put a Super Distortion in her, and I'm loving it ! Great Classic tones. The Ebony Fretboard has always been killer, and now she's got a tone & playabilty to match! Hope you like her!!
