Hey all, could someone who has played one of the EVH models comment on the weight of the guitar. I know they have basswood bodies which generally means a light guitar. Do they weigh about the same as a regular San Dimas standerd with an alder body. Just curious, I have a model series with a basswood body that is just too light. My Guitar Express Bullseye RI (6030) is actually fairly heavy for alder. I like a slightly heavy guitar. You know old school (mass = sustain)

Re: EVH Charvels/Weight
I dont know the weight of my two, but I would venture to say they are fairly light, for sure. Just right is more like it....

Re: EVH Charvels/Weight
The B&Y at Summer NAMM last year didn't feel overly heavy or sissy-light. Felt like alder.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Re: EVH Charvels/Weight
Lighter than a Northern Ash Hamer Daytona. Much heaver than my swamp ash strat, but lighter than an SL1.
I think they float around the 7 3/4 to 8 lb range. My scale is busted. (Nephew was trying to figure out how much he could military press and killed it)
