Re: EVH Art Series - MY Review

Well, stopped by my local music store today and actually played the B&W and the B&Y. Both of them were fantastic!! Loved the feel of the neck (like silk) and the body "fit like a glove". The craftsman-ship is top notch and worth the money IF they don't flood the market with them. (Limited Edition?) Just waiting for the R/B/W to come in and G.A.S. maybe settled............(for a while)

Congrats, that is sweet. I emailed WMC about a month ago for the price of a B/Y and got a reply from a Brian Meader with the price (which was very good). WMC is only 40 minutes from my house, I need to play one of these!

Well, if this was two years ago (pre-wife), I'd already have one. Now, I can only hope to play one -lol. But congrats again to you on yours.

            hey jwoods, thanks man.

            OK, I got another bitch.

Since this EVH has arrived, I have NOT touched ANY of my Suhrs. Not a one.

Don't you think that they deserve to be played?

BUT no. Not since the EVH Art Series arrived. It's been like 2 weeks. The neck is definitely NOT a typical Charvel (at least not like the Ltd Ed Bullseye (wide and thin)). BUT the neck is soooo comfy. 3 note per string runs, hammer-ons, pull offs, Yngwie harmonic minor lix.....damn, it's waaay too smooth, waaay too easy!!!

This axe ROX. I cannot put her down. And she is not the thinnest bodied, one around either. She's got a big ass, and a bulky front (bigger than my Suhr's anyway). And yet....she's silky smooth and fast as a shark (just like my Suhr's) - only voiced like Halford and DIO - wails like a mother, but in tune and w/ plenty of FUCKING BALLS. A versatile axe she ain't. But what she lacks in versatility, she more than make up in BALLS and CHUNK.

Eddie, I know how you feel, they almost play themselves. Just incredible guitars. Overtones all over the place. Congrats!

Shawn, how's the 25th anniversary sound compared to the EVH Art Series? Is the feel and play closer to the Ltd Ed Bullseye?
