I have been checking out Eddyrox posting his Dam EVH Charvels with reviews the last couple of weeks, Saw him get into it with people on other forums over his love for these. So I decided to joing the bandwagon and put up my EVH pics.
EVH WB-#55 Hand Striped(San Antonio)
EVH RWB-#0455(Screwed up Orange Color)
EVH BY-#0485(Perfect)




Followed by my EBMM EVH Sunburst made in 92.
Wolfgang 1st year Quilt in Tobacco
Then Rosewood Axis(threw it in for good measure)

BTW, I did I ever tell you I actually played your "tomato" AS0489 at WildWest? Brian was teasing me while I was picking up my Magenta Stain Suhr Standard. Of course, I ripped through "Unchained" on the Bogner 101B they had back in November 2004. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] VERY Nice trio. [img]/images/graemlins/toast.gif[/img]

Acutually Eddy, this isn't the one you played. I got mine from MusicZoo (#0455). The story goes that a few( 2 guaranteed, and maybe that's all) got out in this color. Which for those that don't know is actually more of a tomato/orangy red than bright red. The story goes that they painted these Eddy saw them and said no way, the paint is wrong. Supposedly they "accidentally" shipped a few out. One going to WildWest the other to MusicZoo. I grabbed this one because at the time it was understood that 0455 was the 55th guitar built(even though Charvel claims they started at #1, I have never seen proof of any EVH under the 0400 #, I still believe they started at 0400), and since I had #55 hand striped, I thought it would be cool to have the 55th of each series. Anyways back to the color story. This is the reason it took so much longer for the RWB to start showing up, because they had to redo the paint. So within the 1st 100 guitars I think there may be just the 2 RWB which are actually orange/red. That is why when that guy was trying to sell his misstriped RWB on Ebay, I thought it was so funny.

Hey Vince, pull that "FMIC" sticker off of the back of the headstocks! [img]/images/graemlins/refuse.gif[/img] If you wait too long, the glue from the tape gets into the wood, and becomes a bitch to clean off! [img]/images/graemlins/sick.gif[/img]

Oh, and that San Antonio hand stripe's KICKIN'!!
