Re: EVH trio +

Then I played the EVH Charvel.........it was great, I loved it! It sounds great, looks great, and the neck is awesome! The only thing that threw me off a little was that the trem was stiff as hell. I looked in the back and only two springs, so I'm not sure how to loosen it up a little other than from use. Are the trems on your guys EVHs so tight?

One thing you can definitely bank on is that the build-quality of these guitars is consistent. The tension or perceived-tension of the FR bridge is no exception. IMHO, I do not find the Art Series bridge to be any "tighter" than any other EVH-series guitar, Peavey, Kramer and EBMM included (probably due to the "blocking" of the bridge). If you're used to a "floating" FR, there is definitely a difference in "tightness". However, if you play any of the FR, pointy Charvels, you'll find the same "tightness" you experienced on the EVH AS. YMMV.
