If I decided to keep this and get a replacement neck for it, would I be able to use an older Strathead neck? Or are the heel widths different? I believe the heel width on this one is 2 1/4".

Yup,stratheads are 2 3/16"s(some earlier 21 fretters are 2 1/8"s)& pointys are 2 1/4"s,can be done but would require a shim Fritz!!

I dunno but what you might want to look into is USA CG (usacustomguitars.com) and see if they will custom cut the correct sized neck for you. Some people here have said how they are willing to work with customers, more so than warmoth.

The bitch of it is you will have to shell out more money for what was already an expensive guitar. Real shame that killer neck is gonna go to waste, beautiful work on that.
