San Dimas parts strathead?

Generally speaking, whats a fair price for a non matching charvel san dimas parts strathead? I have a couple GMW's but can't afford the real deal with prices around $4k like i see on ebay. Would a San-dimas with non-matching parts be a good solution?

It just...depends. Prices are all over the map, and wholly dependent on the specifics of the parts and who wants it at that time.
For a clean strathead parts monster, figure between $1500 and $2500...very roughly.

Thanks for the reply. I saw one at a guitar shop in NYC (I forget the name off the top off my head, but it was near 50th and 8th I think?) and they wanted 2 grand for it. It was actually very nice but I didn't have the coin at the time and prefer 22 frets. Maybe I'll catch some deals once I have access to the classifieds on this forum. Do you know of any other places/people that regularly have something of this nature?

Most of the times these are bought and sold between collectors. Occasionally you'll see one in a store or on ebay, but it's rare.
Even here on the JCF, not many Strathead Charvels come up for sale.

Depends... If the body was modded really bad or major routing done than most people would just want the clean unmodded neck. I would if possible play it for a bit and if u can take it apart or coax the shop or owner to take it apart so that you can really get a good look at what you are buying even better. In fact. I would insist on it.

Thanks! I've been obsessed with strathead charvels for awhile now and finding this place is fueling my gas even worse haha.
