• Charvel 25th anniversary.. questions

Just got one today. Wonderfull looking, sounds great and the neck is pretty much exact to a few 22 fretters I own. That suprised me since I heard they were not Charvel like...

    Some questions...

How many were made? Mine is # 87

The neck has a sick amount of birdseye, is this the norm?

The knob seems reliced? the norm?

The neck, in typical Charvel fashion, needs to be tweeked (trus rod adjustment) Anyone have to do this yet?

    Any have Creme pup rings?

    Thanks

                Re: Charvel 25th anniversary.. questions

Thanks Guys, I will post tonight.

I am not saying the neck is the typical wide flat Charvel, it is not. It feels like some older necks I have. 12" Radius with a comfortable c shape, not fat but not thin. The oil finish is nice.

I will adjust the truss tonight

                  Re: Charvel 25th anniversary.. questions

people seem to forget that the early charvels were all made by hand and each neck wasn't always the same as the last. So it's tough to say they are absolutely not like an early guitar ..

The pointies on the other hand were very consistent...

I actually played Jon Levin's 25th and his original Bigmouth strat and they are totally different and to be honest the 25th felt better than his original strathead but that is my preference but both are killer guitars. Kammo1

                          Re: Charvel 25th anniversary.. questions

My prepro with the EVH route and my Woodburn Charvel neck are both chunkier than this neck. I guess I was expecting a neck that was not comfortable and bassball bat like. This is not. It is comfortable.

If anything, I am going to look for an exaxt match brass pup ring and If not a creme one...

I'm not in the "Charvel know" but I thought the number was closer to 100, counting chlorine ones and everything.
