    Re: Oddball USA Charvel

Yea, looks like it has the Soloist shape body. Pretty unusual!

Jason at DCGL told me that we couldve ordered a charvel logo put on the guitar all the way up til fender bought jackson. How do you think Kev got his and the Lynch Sub camo's were made? It would've had a jackson plate still.

Anyone know where Sandy is now?
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

Here's a somewhat less crappy picture of it. I just refretted it with Dunlop 6000 yesterday, the original frets were too worn to salvage.

I'm not sure this is 100% accurate. I believe there may have been a period of time - right after the move from San Dimas - when you couldn't get a Charvel logo'd guitar from the custom shop. Probably 87 to 88-ish, if this was the case.

Remember, the last "Charvels" had Jackson logos w/Charvel plates. So at the time, they ran out of Charvel logos, were not yet silkscreening them, and were pushing the Jackson name hard. Charvel was generally regarded as the "import brand" then.

Nice graphic. The Green web is really cool. Very unique too.

Sweet graphic man. Awesome even though it's not a SD.
