that is correct...when i used to speak with sandy at the shop she said when ordering a guitar you soulc specify either logo...d.m.

I'm not sure this is 100% accurate. I believe there may have been a period of time - right after the move from San Dimas - when you couldn't get a Charvel logo'd guitar from the custom shop. Probably 87 to 88-ish, if this was the case.
Remember, the last "Charvels" had Jackson logos w/Charvel plates. So at the time, they ran out of Charvel logos, were not yet silkscreening them, and were pushing the Jackson name hard. Charvel was generally regarded as the "import brand" then.
