I would love to remove the Kahler and patch the finish...

also remove that switch.. It was a H/s/s no idea what the swithing was

    any thoughts?

Maybe a Strat scratchplate or (if you really want to remove the Kahler) total refinish.....

        Kev,

With the factory finish still looking that nice I would leave it. To remove the kahler fill in the route is one thing, but I think it would be very difficult to match those colors now.

I would just change out the pickup so that they all match and that would be about it.

Tslk to Bloodspatter. He is pretty good with restoring stuff like this (although he is usually putting the kalher BACK for some odd reason )

              Thanks

I talked with Chuck today and he has a buddy that helped him with the VHII. I may look into this or just go Creme pips and rings and a gold Kahler

!!You already know what I think Kev,we talked about this back when you first scored that beauty....the fix will always be visible(still is on my EVHII,just lucky it's a very busy graphic),unless it's retopped, but I'd never retop/refin an old original graphic....creme hums & single, worn gold Kahler & some brass knobs, best solution imo, especially considering you love the way it plays as is!! !!

Is that a heavily modded pre-pro Charvie? I would make it a 1 bridge hum, 1 neck single, 3 way switch, 1 knob more even with the middle screw of the hum (like most 1 hum Charvies). Go with a non recessed chrome Floyd, either candy or solid color paint.
