As you have found out, GMW will not make the strat head anymore. Yes, alot of the older GMWs do have the strat head and you can find one if you keep looking. Some of the best places to watch are ebay and the classifieds here. Also, right now Charvel only offers pointys but there is a demand for strat heads and rumor is, they may start offering them again next year or in the future. My advice....wait to see what Charvel is gonna do, you may be able to custom order the exact guitar that you want.

The GMW replicas are amazing. But if you want a Charvel strathead with the crossed swords graphic, I would sit tight to see what FMIC releases at NAMM. If the rumors are true, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Buy a GMW painted body then get a neck elsewhere and assemble it yourself.

Apparently there is demand. Check the customshop photo gallery, page 6. They don't show it assembled with a neck, but bet it's a pointy.
