I was in the Las Vegas Guitar Center and they had 2 EVHs (black/white and black/yellow), a black single hum SD and a red 2H ghost flames. I played the red one for a while, it was quite nice, and the neck if anything was thinner than my Model 2. very nice guitars, but this one was listed at $2200 or something and really was sickeningly overpriced. I mean at $1400 or so I could see it, but $2200 for a 2 hum bolt on? man that's expensive. the black 1 hum was over $1800, ridiculous.

Re: played a San Dimas yesterday
Don't they usually have room to discount on the prices? That's been my experience at GCs everywhere, unless its already been massively marked down, the sticker price is just a starting point, just need to be willing to haggle...

Re: played a San Dimas yesterday
I was just at a GC in Jersey and they have a black and white VH. The price tag is $2600. What a rip off. My friend just ordered a custom quilt top Suhr and paid less. I love Jacksons and Charvels but these prices are out of controll.

Re: played a San Dimas yesterday
I myself, wouldn`t pay even $1600-1700 for a bolt-on guitar. I think $800-1200 being fair, depending on appointments. That`s just me, too many deals out there. That being said, I am paying quite a bit for a CS Jackson Soloist. Jack.

Re: played a San Dimas yesterday
EVH must be holding a ransom on Charvel and thus the dealers, so they sell for a set minimum price. Insane prices for a painted basswood bolt on neck guitar.Tone is like Art: Your opinion is valid. Listen, learn, have fun, draw your own conclusions.

WHY, for the love of Satan, do people STILL buy guitars at GC?? Especially members of this board and Jackson/Charvels??
If you´re not buying from one of these guys but going to GC, you´re only shafting yourself http://www.jcfonline.com/dealers

Re: played a San Dimas yesterday
GC for some reason does not what to actually sell these guitars and I cant understand why. The prices are ridiculas to the point that I almost get the sence that they what to be able to say to fender, gee, we cant sell these things so dont make us buy any."I''ll say what I'm gonna say, cuz I'm going to Hell anyway!"

so no worries, I only go there to play guitars when I'm traveling and jonesing for it, but I have yet to buy a guitar from them. they have some decent prices on the mid-level shit if you know which stores to look at.the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives
