Im rookie charvel owner so forgive my ignorance but if you had a choice between a 25th anniversary strat head and a 1991 European charvel strat head, which would you choose and why?

Re: Question for the experts
The 25th and the euro are quite different beasts. With certain reservations about the neck profile, the 25th is close to the original San Dimas Charvels, whereas the 'euro' is much more of a modern 'Jackson-ised' superstrat version. I had a 25th which I sold for various reasons, predominately that it had a vintage trem, the tone was really bright and I could see the used value plummeting and wanted to get back what I had into it while I still could…..
I've had the chance to buy several 'euro' guitar and passed, so I'm not sure I can really say which I'd prefer. I guess the h/s/s & Floyd of the 'euro' make it more versatile (though somehow it doesn't quite work for me), but the 'cool' factor probably goes to the 25th.Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Re: Question for the experts
Well You should be able to get a euro Charvel a lot cheaper and the one I had played as good as my prepro. But like Ian said it's an early 90s Jackson Strat with a Charvel logo. Great guitars for the money and the ash bodies can look amazing with trans blue finish. I just wish they had made them with maple boards...My band here -> http://www.diceoffate.com/

Re: Question for the experts
First off, there are no experts,we're all learning all the time!!
The 25th is closer to an original other than neck profile, imo the Euro strathead neck profile is closer(& less $$)but....I'd wait a bit, upcoming NAMM may offer more options!! !!

Re: Question for the experts
Buy a 25th. If you like it keep it. Then grab a reissue, If you like it better and don't want both, sell the 25th or vise versa.
The 25th is a very nice playing guitar. I would think the pick up is nicer than the 91 reissue, but I never had a reissue. I have a strathead from that era but not one that was part of the reissues. The neck is very San Dimas. And I do own a few SanDimas necks...It's not a competition, it's a community

Re: Question for the experts
I would suggest that you play both guitars with an open mind and see which one you prefer. Do you prefer a Floyd or a v-trem, 1 hum vs s-s-hum layout, etc...each guitar can offer you something the other can not
Good luck wth your decisionwww.usacharvels.com - info, pics and Charvel guitar discussion board. All things Charvel

Re: Question for the experts
There is a euro charvel on e-bay for sale on gbase.com they want 1850.00.....I think that price is like major expensive, it is a beautiful guitar, but not worth the Money that they are asking for it...Max I wiould pay for that strat would be like 1100.00....then again a punk like with no money, wtf do I know!
