I'm waiting until I see the real world street prices for SD STD with a strat headstocks first

Sensible question, no doubt.
However, I recently had several conversations with a forum member on a guitar we were looking at doing a deal over with and I guess it comes down to guitars that you may acquire as players and guitars you acquire then sell (flip).
While that is a real scenario, sometimes I buy a guitar because I just like it and plan to play it and enjoy the heck out of. As simple as that. Does it suit my needs? look cool? play and sound well? etc. etc.
I am not Matt or some other dealer that NEEDS to think on what he is buying with the tought on the back of his head on marketability and real demand on the street. So he doesn't buy a dust collector for the store.
A playable, cool looking, comfortable guitar with some vibe. As far as I am concerned I already own several of the "new" Charvels and they don't need to prove themselves to me, I'm sold.
Are Charvels selling well? I don't give rats ass, I like what I see, I like what they are doing, I'll get one.
So far Charvels prices are staying, for the most part, within the real world. Fender Custom Shop guitars in the other hand are starting to get out of hand, Jeff Beck Squire $15,000, master built Ltd. Ed guitars at $8000. Wait past the point of return of investment (Fun/vibe/playability/looks vs. street price).
