Yeah, that's a pretty safe bet seeing how the JB has been Warren's preference in pickups.

also it should be noted that JB stands for Jazz/Blues not Jeff Beck.

        from seymour himself.

"The bridge pickup became the JB because you can play Jazz and Blues with it. Thanks...Seymour W. Duncan"

here is the interview it came from listed at the bottom of The "Tele-Gib" http://www.ainian.com/jb4.html#2

yes it was a kind of play on letters so to speak since Jeff Beck did use one but it was named JB for Jazz/Blues, not directly for Jeff Beck. over the years people have gotten it mixed up. this has come up several times on the duncan forums in the past.

BS! If it were Jazzy/Blues, the pickup wouldn't be all high mids and treble with hardly any bass.

that's right from Seymour, not me. it's been asked many times on the duncan boards over the years and that's the answer. why on earth would i make that up and bother to find a link for it with the seymour interview where he says it himself???

Yeah, I know what Seymour says, but I've never bought it.
The JB is a pretty lame pup, IMO, and I definitely wouldn't use it for jazz.

Rumor has it that Seymour has been saying that for years, to cover his @ss from any chance of having to pay royalties to Jeff Beck. Seriously. Take it for what it's worth.

That's what I pretty much figured.
