Vivian's "Shield graphic" Charvel strahead....

This is probably my favorite guitar of Vivian's when he was in dio. I've always been partial to it for some reason.

Very cool. If Dio had only written a good chorus for that song. The verses, the bridge and the rhythm for the solo are excellent.

I remember my father taking me to see that concert. The stage was amazing, the band sounded incredible, and Ronnie...well, he sang like a god. He sounded at least five feet tall. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Very cool. Don't think I've ever see that video before. I remember going to that concert. Rough Cutt opened for Dio here in Cleveland - great show.

Love that guitar too! Here lately I'm really "jonesing" to get a new (or used) US Charvel. Strat or Tele with the matching headstock. Time to start selling gear!
On a side note...buddy of mine was living/playing out in L.A. at the time of this tour. Dio had his last show there and a private party afterwards. My buddy and some friends made it out, and the two things I remember him telling me were that Dio was constantly complaining how the tour was breaking him (due to all the lighting and props), and how Yngwie was there (drunk), and was booted out after trying to pee on everyone (including my friend) in the mens restroom.

I remenber seeing a Rand guitar in ebay once just like that one, don't remember if it had the same colors but the same specs: 27 frets, slant middle pickup, etc.

Saw the same in Chicago,what a show.Rough Cutt KICKED ASS and Dio was perfect(as usual).I spent about a month looking for RC's album after that,finally found someone that would order it for me...

Rand guitars built by Rand Havener in '87-'88. He built 63 instruments total before he closed his doors and went to work for another manufacturer. Here are a few that I currently own:

Hands down the best guitars that I have owned/played for hard rock/metal.
