Oh and if you were the one who was calling to buy this today...it's true, I was really walking out of the store as you were on the phone. But fear not, WWG will be getting in several more stratheads SOON!

Very nice. I prefer the pointy headstock. It looks bad ass.

That one is AWESOME. I'm glad you bought it because I kept looking at it on their web site with drool running down my face....

I bought a Tangerine pointy with maple neck and a very similar config recently, they are awesome.

                      congrats

Big D, wait, was that the neck single coil and bridge hum from DCGL? If so, I've got pix of that one that I've drooled over for months!

Shawn, your collection/s NEVER cease to amaze. Nice finish. She's gonna kill!

To everyone else, thank you for validating a TOTAL G.A.S. attack!!

To everyone who's been questioning the build quality of these new production SD Charvels...don't. Seriously, these guys are as well made as my Andersons or Suhrs. Sure the wood quality may not be "as" good...but we're talking about subtle differences (and none that I can hear). The neck joint's tight in the pocket, the frets are crowned perfectly (no dead spots that I've detected), the paint's as good and consistent as any Candy metallic paint job by Anderson or Suhr (metallic as a base coat as opposed to being included in the spray), and MOST importantly (to me), the set-up's by Sean S (or "SS") absolutely smoke. I'm really into that legato style of playing, and the action's important. Well, all of the Charvels I own all work to support a radical smooth legato.

And for the record, I've been a little scared about the build quality after hearing all of the horror stories on the Dweezil limited run. But I will say that I understand that some had more issues than others. In the case of this Candy Blue SD, there's no way that a custom shop Charvel (or Jackson for that matter) can play any better than this one (IMHO)!
