I walked into the Music Zoo which is by me in queens today. Low and Behold, a 81 Pre-Pro San Dimas strathead was hanging on the wall.

The Good:
Frets & Neck are good.. plays like a San Dimas should.
The Bad:
1.Guitar Looks Orange in Gbase pictures.. In reality, somebody did a bad spray job with pink over the orange. End result is a really disgusting shade of salmon
2. Painted headstock to match horrible body color.
3. Doubt pickups are original, especially the red one. Pickups were starting to corrode and looked crappy.
4. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE HUGE route. Looks like it had a kahler that was removed. Kahler Route was filled with a black plastic tray to which the Gold Floyd was attached to. FLoyd has lots of tarnish and discoloration
5. Plenty of dings and scratches. Guitar looks infinitly better in that picture than in reality.
If someone is willing to put in the time, they could have a solid player on their hands. I didn't ask a price, but I imagine it is hefty. I'll pass, but maybe someone here can enjoy it.
