That is one heck of a nice guitar. Whats the specs on it, Body wood etc. It looks like Burl/Birdseye/Quilt. Not sure I've ever seen all 3 in one piece of wood to that degree but its absolutely striking to look at.

That's really neat! That guitar was offered to me about a month or two ago. I passed because of that middle pickup - I'm also not really into the massively figured bodies/tops, but it does look great. Congrats!

For what it's worth, I'd leave the middle pickup - you'll never make the route disappear, and while it's non original, I've grown to like more since I first saw pics a couple of months back....

I agree. I don't think you would ever match that wood. That is a great looking guitar. The middle pickup isn't great, but as long as it plays well and sounds good...nice score!

Its gonna be real hard to match that top so you best leave the middle Pup. Its a shame its not a neck pup then maybe you could expand it to a HH config. You could maybe still do that but it would be kinda strange looking but it might match better with the gold ringed bridge humbucker.
