      The III's and IV's had named Dimarzios but the SD1 and SD2 came with custom Dimarzios only found on those guitars.

          Thanks for your replies guys.. The reason I ask is that I pulled them out and was surprised to see only "152" on the bridge pickup.

          The neck was a typical Dimarzio with the patent stickers and model number..

          Looking throught the newer Dimarzio catalog, there is no model # 152 so i am puzzled..

            DP152 = Super3

            An Evolution should be DP158 for neck position. (Bridge would be 159)

              <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That's what I thought. The III and IV had a Tone Zone with Hot Rails I in the middle and The Chopper in the neck.

                Re: Charvel Reissue II pickup question

                yes, that´s right, but i think this is the "official" version. the pup are stamped: J152 instead of DP152 and J158 instead of DP158 and "Dimarzio Pickups made in U.S.A.".
                so that´s why i think, that this pups are the super3 and the evolution neck.
                there is one more thing why i think i´m right:
                check the sound-diagrams on the dimarzio homepage, the pups sound exactly like the discription there.
