• How many original painted Strat heads out there?

This question relates to my EVH one, but with a distinct variation. How many Charvel pre-pro to '85 Strat heads have an original black finish with gold logo (as opposed to the more common natural wood with black logo)? Not to mention the colored strat headstocks to match the body color.

Shit, I meant to post this under 'Charvel'. Sorry guys, but feel free to address my question. Thanks all!

actual numbers are pretty hard to come by...but you can include the holdsworth charvels that were strat heads and painted...and i think...but im not sure...that there were roughly 100 or so of those...d.m.

Because of very slip shop record keeping, we don't even really know how many guitars were made, let alone specific paint jobs or whatever.

I recall the Holdsworth strats had headstocks to match the body color & pickguard. I'm talking about a rear loaded Charvel Strat with a black headstock & gold logo regardless of body color. I remember only seeing one - the Charvel Strat that belonged to Rowan Roberson formally of Dio. You see black pointy headstock Charvel Strats fairly common, but not black Strat head Charvel Strats. (body color matching heads & natural wood wouldn't count here).

Could you imagine a pointy with natural finish?
