Charvel USA Custom Shop?

I am new to the forum, but I think this is a great site! I was looking at the price list for the new Charvel USA San Dimas models, according to the guide a guitar coming from the custom shop starts at 2.5K. plus add ons. Are these custom shop guitars different from the standard USA San Dimas models? I'm asking, as I recently picked up a fairly new Charvel USA San Dimas with Korina back & Flame maple top. I was curious if this guitar is more unique, or was it munufactured by the same people who built the Standard USA San Dimas models?

Sounds like a customshop job to me, what is the serial number, do you have any photos?

USA and custom shop models are all made in the same facility. But that guitar sounds like its almost certainly a custom shop.

That is for sure a custom order. There are no production models made from korina, or with that electronics setup.
That is a very nice guitar!!

I played a Candy Blue USA San Dimas Standard at Sam Ash. The guitar blew me away, so did the price tag! I found this baby on the bay for a great price. Any idea what this guitar is worth? Here are some more photos:

Nice! It has a Jackson Ontario rear control rout which is different. Interesting! Looks like a custom order.

Thanks! I am very happy with guitar I was prepared to bid much higher. These new Charvels play & sound better then all my axes! Unfortunately, I have yet to play a vintage San Dimas.

The neck on the one you have is pretty much dead on to the thinner vintage SD profile (there were a few other profiles), just minus the 20 years of grime and playing. Enjoy her.
