Re: Ever seen this before? San Dimas & Risson
Apologies in advance for the following rant

I've always wondered about what's going through the mind of an unknown guitarist, posing for some company's ad campaign.
It's not like it's Warren or George who were setting trends technically and otherwise.
If this were a caption contest, I'd venture to guess that this guy's thoughts are, "Damn do I feel cool...here I am trying to strike an Eddie pose, w/ a flashdance hairdo, and pants that accenuate my oversized legs I'm gonna score!
And for the record, I was a teenager in the eighties and that outfit looked stupid back then!

I was pointing to the fact that the GUITAR is a San DImas Guitar. Most early 80's Strats with vintage trems have been passed all over the NET and the world. This is just one that I've never seen before.

Re: Ever seen this before? San Dimas & Risson
The amp maker is Bob Rissi, and he is a cool guy. His story is similar to Wayne Charvel. He had some cool amps in the day and is starting back up in the boutique amp biz...
I am waiting to get one of his "Marvel " amps
The guitar player is Benny, a local friend of the owners and club player. He is at least 24 years older than when that picture was taken. Keep in mind that this amp company was just a guy building a quality amp that I had the good fortune to play thru in 82. His business was underfunded and he closed it and moved on. I wish him the best and think his new amp will sell like hot cakes...It's not a competition, it's a community

The Rissons if you can find them are always a great buy and have a real unique sound Between a Marshall and a Fender. Not bad when you see them for 200.00 or plus bucks.
I remember that kid back then I was in Bobs Shop when CC Deville would come by with Rikki Rocket and Bobby. The kid in the photo was if I remember an EXRTREME "watch what you eat because the world dont wand FAT rock stars.
