Charvel Prepro case etc..

What type of case did the Charvel Prepro's come in?
I notice on different strathead Charvels that the brass string tree button is not located in the exact same spot on every headstock. Some are even with the 2nd tuner and some are offset either up or down. Where should it be on a Prepro?
Did all Prepro's come with a brass volume knob or were any black or chrome?

From what I've seen, the pre-pros have a case almost identical to '70's Fender Stratocasters (Black tolex w/ plush lining of various colors). Knobs and hardware are almost always brass, although there may have been exceptions. I've always been curious as to why some headstocks had the single brass "button", while others had 2 small "clip guides". I always liked the way the button looks with the Charvel logo and strat headstock over the clips! [img]images/icons/cool.gif[/img]
