Strathead Speculation - What's Next?

OK, the order deadline for the strathead Charvel Retros - bullseye strat and lightning star - passed last week. So let the assumptions begin on what might be next.

They're probably going to wait for Summer NAMM, I'm guessing. And, so far, they've done a stunning flame-top and two retro graphics. So it might be logical to follow-up with one or more cool solid finishes now. Otherwise, your guess is as good as mine.

I ordered a lightning Star, and I'm really hoping the neck feels damn close to an old SD neck. If it doesn't, be looking for it in the Classifieds... [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Subvamp, I ordered a retro bullseye strathead, and based on the post-NAMM reviews, sounds like the neck's based on one of the shop guy's early 80's strathead (pre-pro?). anyway, I said "F" it, and laid out the $$$. How often will this be offered. BUT, if there's MORE to come... [img]graemlins/fart.gif[/img] well then I guess more $$$ will be flying out the door!! [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

I just hope they kept all the old Jackson strathead neck templates.

I don't want a Reissue, or Charvel SD type necks, I want the Jackson strathead profile... Like on my dinky, or my woodburn neck. That's the feel that I like.

I would order a bullseye if I knew the neck was as good as the old ones. I hope I will have time to order one after someone gets there's.

Since we're dreaming, how 'bout this?

FMIC/Jackson/Charvel and Edward Van Halen announce the release of a signature Charvel EVH model, which is an exact replica of his black/yellow VHII guitar, including the black/yellow paint scheme, with one option: "vintage" trem or Floyd Rose. Eddie plays them on Van Halen's summer tour, too, though his could be red/white to maintain the exclusivity that he seems to enjoy with his paint scheme.

Who would be the least expensive dealer to order a bulls eye from? I just shopped around for a 25th Anniv Charvel and found Easton and Drum World to be the best priced......What other dealers are out there. Music Zoo in NYC was a little over priced but they always have a good selection. Any one have a 25th yet? How do you rate it to the old SD?

I'd love to speculate. Just finished watching Ozzy live cocert with Jake. I would love to see a Jake guitar, a nice Blue burst perhaps? Or something with a pick guard.
I agree with shreddermon, a solid finish would be cool too. Maybe a Floyd OPTION.

They will discontinue the Charvel line because nobody buys them.

I have a 25th and the neck is just plain sick!!!!.
It the best neck i have put my hands on in a long while. I birds eye is just awsome!! If the retro's are the same as they should be minus the birds eye anyone who get's one will be very very!! pleased!
