Re: Dimarzio 3 tite suggestions

what's wrong with adding a 5-way slot to a Dimarzio body? Some kook decided to do 2 goofy holes 25 years ago, you are surely kooky enough to add a teenie-weenie route

5 way rotary sounds good. That way you don't have to hack the body.

rout for 3 hums...floyd it...maple reversed headstock neck j/k

I'd go 5-way super switch and one volume pot. If you want tone control then get a stacked pot so you dont need another hole in that nice wood

Re: Dimarzio 3 tite suggestions

5 way rotary switches are cool until you actually have to use one live. Then they suck big.

I would do something a little less traditional.
I would go 1 stacked volume so that I could pull it up and turn on the neck and middle pickup together.I would also install a LP style toggle switch wired exactly like a 3 pickup Les Paul.

Re: Dimarzio 3 tite suggestions

If you don't want to drill it, why not install all 3 pickups, but only wire 2 in and just have a volume and a 2 or 3 way switch?

Re: Dimarzio 3 tite suggestions

I would do volume and tone, and add a 5 way switch. There is plenty of space for it and it is a fairly non-intrusive solution.
If you don't plan on gigging with it, then there have already been some good suggestions.

V-T and add a 5-way.

One volume and a three-way mini switch for on/on/on. Who needs more than one pickup at a time?!?

I am a sucker for these bodies and have a few of them now. This is the cleanest 3 tite one. I am going to try that 5 way rotary since I do not have to change anything. If it does not work out I will go V/T 5 way

Thanks for the imput. I will do a little group shot of these when it is assembled...
