That looks like a reissued (San Dimas) series neck thats been modded...

hmmm...I quickly looked at the pics so I probably missed a few things but here is what caught my eye
1. tuners and nut are obviously not original
2. The neck is 22 fret which does not match the prepro style string trees and the prepro style brass neck plate, that is prepro necks were 21 frets? Is that neck modified, kinda looks funny!
3. No brass shield plate in control cavity??

Parts guitar maybe??? Do you have any pics of the neck pocket or neck markings?

Tracy .. look hard at the ball contour on this .. it looks like it's been modded from a 95/96 neck .. it's very rough in the pictures

Dimarzio or charvel body. You can see the pass thru hole in the trem cavity that connects it to the humbucker route. Neck looks new, too new to be charvel.

I can bearly make out the jackplate it looks oval but thick?
The nut does look like a graphite. Sometimes those stringtrees and nuts were/are sold as a package deal.
Good set up with the locking tuners. I had one with locking tuners and a grahpite nut.
Paint is either real clean or it is the sunlight making it look like there are no scratches. refin? a little acetone might tell that in a little area..

How does it play and sound??

Neck Pocket and truss rod adjustment might give us some clues of date and why a 22 fret neck, it's possible - finshed neck is not unheard of - and that might be the reason it looks clean.

thanks for all the info guys
i will try to get the guitar over here tonight and pull the neck and take more pictures
he said there is a neck date from july ?,1983 under the clear coat
can't remeber if he said ink or what?
as far as the ball end of the headstock the jagged edges are from my camera
so as i get some more pictures i will post them
oh yeah it has a jb in the bridge

i will have the charvel in hand tomorrow not today
i will post neck and body pockets pixs tomorrow evenin and the jack plate to
jack plate was football style (brass) and was not thin
