Seems to be a GC mass (or coordinated) order. RW board, 2 hum, floyd, neck specs have been correct to the thinner pointy profile (the ones that I have played). Tend to need a good set up to really appreciate how they play. GC is pricing them out of the market for ??????

What do you what to know?

I saw a couple at a local GC and the set ups were really bad. And they were extremely over priced.

I think I played the same one a couple of weeks ago. Way overpriced and the floyd was so tight on the body that it's a wonder it isn't scarred up yet.

I was there yesterday and it's still there. They had a couple other Charvels also. All the same ones that I saw there 6-8 months ago. I predict that at those prices they won't ever sell them.

They are excellent guitars! I own several new Charvel pointys and they are very close to the SD originals. Check the online dealers and ebay, you can find a copperhead reasonably priced. GC is way too high!

Yup...it pains me to see it hanging there but with that price I'm afraid it is going to have to.

What sucks is that you know you could buy it from Scott or Matt alot cheaper.GC is just ripping you off, preying on the uneducated.......................

                          Re: Charvel H-H Copperhead Model

I bought a RGF H H from GC last year. The setup was terrible as was the price was outrageous. I am a regular customer there, buy plenty of gear from them, and know some of the sales guys. So after considerable negotiation, I was finally able to get them down to a reasonable price. They sure did not want to budge though.

Here is some stuff you might want to try on them:

I always go for the, “Wow its expensive, will you guys pay the taxes?” angle. That usually get them talking.

Remind them how long it has been hanging there.

Point out every little cosmetic flaw you can possibly find. I had them raise the floyd to see under it and sure enough, they had it screwed down so low the set screws had made indentations into the finish – that is worth a couple of bucks off..

One of the other negotiating angles I used was that the setup was so bad that it was going to take me considerable effort to work it into playing shape. Which it did!

I did end up paying the taxes, got it for a decent price though. I did get them to throw in a d-tuna for no cost also.

I am sure glad I bought the guitar. It is fantastic! It has been my number 1 since I got it.

everything Fett said, plus, go near the end of the month, or on a Friday. those guys are desperate to make commissions at those times.

always say "You have to do better than that." keep saying that, even if they do better than that.

have the cash or ability to pay with you, show them you are ready to buy if they can just meet your price.
