Wow that's nice. I'm partial to zebras, but a double cream would be just as nice.

What blew me away was how his 15-20 yr old JB's sound almost exactly like the TB-14 Custom V.
Just an interesting FYI....

All the wood we get is inspected when it arrives to make sure it is the proper grade, etc. Mike Shannon and Pablo then pull the best stuff for Custom Shop pieces, so your guitar will be made of great wood regardless!!!

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Originally posted by toejamInteresting, because I hate the JB, think it's too bright, too much high mids and treble. I do like the Custom V my new Charvel Star. It has a slightly scooped midrange sound which gives it a nice, almost hollow-like, open sound which brings out the note definition of all the strings. I wish it were a little higher in output, but it's pretty good overall, matches nicely with the Jazz in the neck.
I think the Custom V sounds great, which is why I used it on the Charvel USA Standard models.
