I understand the magnet loses some strength over time, but in general, the eq of the two pups are different, and the JB has a little more output than the Custom V.

For those of you that have these... How much do they weigh? Do they feel like a Les Paul?

It's pretty heavy, not LP heavy but it is noticeably heavier than its alder cousins

Thanks for the info on the weight. I just spoke with the MZ folks. I was told that these weigh from 7.5 lbs up to 9.0 lbs.

It is indeed a great neck shape, but I must comment that the neck on my Charvel #7308 is not quartersawn.
Looking at the medullary grain, it definitely does not run parallel to the strings, and it appears rift sawn.

#7308 weights 7.8 lbs. Feels similar in weight to my alder body Fender CS Strat.
