  • SD Pickup Question

I know the USA Charvel SD Pointy guitars come with Seymour Duncan Custom 5 (TB-14) Humbuckers in Bridge. Does anyone here know when Charvel puts a single coil in the neck position what pickup is used? Is this a stacked Humbucker, does anyone know the name of these pickups and how they sound? Thanks in advance!

See top of page 5 for Charvel USA Standards.

You can specify whatever you want for a custom order, though.

Yes, I looked at a new Charvel SD with the H-S config., so I guess it was a Cool Rail. Are there any clear advantages or disadvantages to the Cool Rail over a Duncan 59 in the Neck position? I only played the Duncan 59 in the neck so far, which sounded great IMO.

Thanks very much! I was surprised how nice the Cool Rails can sound. I appreciate the links.
