Here's a pic of "Blue" next to his older brother(older brother is an '82 san dimas body, rec'd floyd and an '86 maple/maple with 6105 fretwire) Honestly, I like the feel of "Blue" much better! "red" might have his neck sanded and that "Specially formulated oil finish applied to it"

I Love your Guitar! I have been looking for that exact setup and cannot find one for sale. I did not think it would be that hard find to a Blue 1H Flyd Maple neck combo, but they are nowhere to be found. Congratulations on a fantastic axe!

Thanks Plexed! I waited six friggin' months for this thing! In the pipeline, they only had a candy blue hum single available back in late October '05.

It was sooo worth the wait though the first time I played it and then on!

They are two different animals IMO. I don't think you'll match the feel to the new one by sanding/oiling the older one. Just my 0.02, but I wouldn't flukk with it.

Damn, that blue one is sweet. Love the specs with a single hum, maple neck, OFR and black hardware! Gonna have to get me one of those soon!
