It's a POS, not a Charvel.

It is a parts guitar. Neck is Charvel. Body looks Charvel but could be performance or Chandler. I do think it is a Charvel though. A mutt of unknown pedigree...

Worth 1k or so...

And the body is not a Charvel.
Neck "looks" real.

According to Mike Eldred, the neck looks legit, but the body is not. Due to the larger logo size, the neck (or whatever guitar it was originally on) was probably built for an artist. During the early 80's hey-day of MTV, Charvel would use the larger logo (normally found on the pointy headstock guitars) for the Fender(R) headstock guitars as well so the logo was easily seen in videos.

yeah it is painted, looks like a butterscotch color

now that i look at it more, i see that there's a yellowish shine on the body as well. maybe it's yellowed clear coat or somethin. anyway, yeah.
