  • Slipknot Charvel?

I was just looking at random crap on the internet, and came across this http://www.samash.com/catalog/showit...ent&GroupCode=

I haven't heard anything about this, just wondering if someone else knew about it. I thought it was interesting, their are 3 different models on samash.com, but that's the only place i've seen any definite signs it exists (other than the prototypes he uses on stage)

I'm not a slipknot fan, but it did strike me as odd that I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else.

Just think of all the problems that could be solved using Occam's Razor.

Interesting... the 3-tite config listed (w /Duncans to boot) is COMPLETELY wrong from my understanding, as JR plays a rear-loaded Dualhum Strathead w/ EMGs, at least that´s the only Charvel I´ve seen him regularly....

Either his specs have changed and suddenly out of the blue a Sig model was released between NAMMs (which something tells me is an unlikely proposition), or something is fishy about this....

That's what I was thinking, it just seemed odd that this is the only sight selling a guitar that is still supposedly a prototype.

        Something to ask John perhaps?
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

And maybe another dealer to boot, as well... I know I wouldn´t take lightly to intentional false advertising of my products, should that truly be the case...

The specs seem kind of odd (scratchplate, 3 x single coil sized pickups) but then it's a signature model, so who knows?!

The specs are definitely different. It should be a 2 hum body with no pickguard. Now that, I would consider!

Metallhouse's link is to one of the three versions listed on samash.com - the other two are 2 hum w/ emg's and h-s-s with a trembucker and 2 hot rails. All three seem to be top routed with pickguards but there are no pictures for any of them.

That is a Custom Shop Charvel San Dimas built for Jim Root, but I'm not sure how Sam Ash turned it into that. I've notified them to pull it.
