  • Some new Charvel's....

    Hi guys,
I used to hang out here quite a bit, even though I only posted about 300 times (and most of those are gone for some reason? ). I lurked mostly!
I moved all of my Jackson's so I didn't come around as much, but I recently got a few Charvel's and I went crazy for them! I scooped up 5 in about 8 months. I'll take a better pic later but here's a group shot for the time being:

Not sure how big it will be, it's been a while since I did this! I got the Solar from Matt, I think it used to be Chuck's. (#10), and one of the Bullseye's leaves tomorrow for new paint from Paul at Bighead.
Anyway, thanks in advance for any who welcome me back and I'll try to play nicely.
    Allen

Nice set you've got there. Looks like you've got a vintage trem fetish going. (I'm just the opposite. )

Also, I had Bighead redo a bullseye for me, too.

I spoke to you about that guitar, candy red with a neck hum and Floyd added, right? I remember I was trying to move some Axis' and it was gone by the time I came up with the money.
Yeah, I'm digging the V-trem thing. I was getting tired of Floyd-equipped guitars as it was, but I definitely fell in love the first time I played a brass trem. I had a USA Charvel around the mid to late 80's that had a Kahler, which I wasn't too fond of. I guess the first time I played a brass trem was last year. I had no idea what I was missing!

Cool dude. I like the difference between the two BEs one has a little more tint or use than the other.
Of course, you gotta love them HRF, my all time favorite graphic with the the BE a close second.

Correctomundo. I sold her - the buyer absolutely loved it. Said he had 40-ish guitars, and that one was the best of his lot.

I dig the VT tone, but just can't live without the tuning stability of a Floyd.

Thanks for the kindness. To me, it's almost like I never really left. As I stated in another thread, I lurked around here even when I didn't own one J/C guitar simply because it's the coolest forum around, guitar related or otherwise. Glad to be back!

Chuck, the Solar kicks ass! I've heard some concern about some of the limited run guitars being less than expected, but no BS here. It plays as good as it looks, which as anyone could see is tops. What made you decide to sell?

Oh, and Sully, any chance my old avatar is still around somewhere?

...perhaps, if not for the back of the flame top's headstock being signed "#10 of 10" by Mike Shannon!

Odd you'd say that, however. I've been thinking about swapping one of the Bullseye Strathead necks with the Eldred Flame's pointy neck. Probably won't though.
