Schaller and Gotoh tuners?

How common were Schaller tuners on Charvels compared to Gotoh or others? My new Charvel Star has Schaller tuners. Just wondering if there were any specific years when things changed or was it they just used whatever, whenever.

i think most of the new ones are getting schallers (if not all). all of the ones i've seen in person have schallers along with my bullseye strathead reissue having schallers too. plus if you look at the sites that sell them and list specs they all tend to say schaller if the tuners are even listed at all.

The 86 Charvel I had was equipped with Schallers.
