Many thanks -- the Jackson I was comparing my Charvel to was the oil-necked WR-1 it replaced. The Warrior had a super thin, super wide, super flat neck that made it feel like piece of precision lab equipment, like a perfectly calibrated analytical balance. Cold, precise, even. No dead spots, but no "live" ones either.

It's amazing that you found the Jackson necks more round ... I guess the Warrior neck really was thinner than the others. Heh.

Congrats on a great guitar. Bullseyes are Beautiful!

The recessed part I'm referring to is actually the cover plate that goes over the springs. On the original line those were not recessed they actually sat ON the body. When I spec'd the bullseye run it never clicked with me that they would end up being recessed..bad assumption on my part ..

The new Charvel trem cavity covers are recessed Kev!!

Re: the new pointy neck profile,it is identical(imo)to what seems to be the most common eighties pointy neck profiles(there was some variation though not as much as the strathead profiles)!!

Nice grab, I have stupidly passed on three of these mostly cuz of bad timing. Necks are great if you like the thinner profile.

And Kev, for what it is worth, I dont think the non-recessed trem plate is all its cracked up to be - I actually prefer recessed.

These bullseyes are very cool........but I've always thought that the black rings of the bullseye needed to extend closer to the edge of the body.

Maybe its just me.....or maybe I'm used to seeing the bullseye on a darker color background (usually red or black). Really great guitars though.

Funny, i always liked that particular detail. I find that it resembles a white body binding and help "frame" the graphic. We're all different i guess

was one of the best days of my life when i got 6012. great guitar. Gunna change the pickup one of these days to a SH 14. Just too lazy at the moment

I have yet to own one of these but I will grab one when it comes accross my path. Of all the Charvels reissues, old and new, these get the best reviews. I have never heard a complaint and even the guys who sell them miss them. Older collectors and new say this one hit the bullseye dead center and captured the hot rod charvel mojo. Some left over magic I guess.

Nice grab. Everytime one of these changes hands I kick myself for not grabbing the ones that were offered to me (just bad timing). Those rock for what they are and play real nice too! Enjoy her.
