I have one. Action was high when it arrived, but i just lowered the saddles, and it was good to go. I play it all the time. It's a beautiful guitar, and people are always drawn to it.

All three,it's an extra from the limited run I custom ordered!!

It's an extra as they always make extras.. they did that with the JCF series and others. While it was spec'd as a solar it isn't part of that run ..it shouldn't have the numbering or the binder..it is treated as a one off custom

Kev do you know if the "extras" were made the same time as the run or are the body/necks kept to the side just in case they are needed. I suspect it would make sense to build the extras at the same time.

Well I know that when JCF-01 was done there were extras made right along side the series in case of production errors.. eventually they were sold (there was one on ebay not long ago)

I'm not sure how this translates into the bolton guitars. I would assume if they necks are flame, birdseye or a special backshape then the extras are made right then and there..

Look at the dweezil series and then look at Shawns offset bullseye..

Solar necks were stock San Dimas necks then?

I thought the pointyheads had the Gotohs as standard? And Schallers are pretty much standard for stratheads? Er, standard on the limited edition stratheads, I mean. Now they're all custom, so whatever you spec.
