2005 Charvel Pointy...HRF by Mike Learn

Finally got this one re-assembled. This is my 2005 Charvel pointy. Originally it was all black.

Last August......Mike Learn put a post out that he was looking for a 1985 Kramer Baretta neck for restoration of his old Baretta.....and that he would paint a graphic in trade for one.

Well...I just happened to have the neck he was looking for.

At the time, I had no HRF graphic guitars (now I have a couple) & I really wanted one...so I went with a green on black HRF.






As expected...It came out fantastic. Its kind of hard to capture in a picture.....but the flames have some really great shading...& the color is a very bright green with yellow.

I went with a double creme Dimarzio Tone Zone....I thought it looked best with the graphic.

Mike is very busy...so this took a while but it was worth the wait.

Of all the "flame" Charvels/Jacksons I have seen, that one is the best! Awesome color combination. I have always loved yellows and greens on black backrounds. Also, I think your choice of double cream with matching p/u ring was the way to go. A black p/u and ring would look lost on it.
